A HDPE clamp saddle fitting is used for joining an outlet into an existing pipeline. The fittings “tap into” the pipe, without requiring a cut and join in the main pipe.
HDPE pipe saddle clamp, mainly used for water pipes, come in two parts, with four bolts joining them around the pipeline (same diameter with two bolts). The HDPE clamp saddle fittings are the ultimate solution for connection of HDPE main pipelines to branch pipelines for cold water. Made from high quality PP-B or (or PVC) material, come with an EPDM rubber seal, the HDPE pipe clamp saddle fittings have a durable and leak free join, and they are resistant to etching by numerous chemical substances, and to UV rays, and are suitable for outdoor use.
SUNPLAST HDPE clamp saddle fittings are available to join onto 25mm to 315mm pipelines, with pressures up to 16 bars, the branch outlets come from 1/2” to 6” BSP female thread, and provided with 2, 4 or 6 bolts according to the diameters and metal reinforcing ring on the threaded branches.
HDPE pipe clamp saddle fittings are regularly assembled with PP compression male thread fittings, like PP compression male thread adaptor/elbow/tee, or HDPE Ferrule Tee..etc.
SUNPLAST HDPE compression fittings / PP compression fittings are manufactured in compliance with the requirements of standards EN 712/713/715/911; ISO 3501/3503/3458/3459.The fittings can be installed on HDPE pipes which are in compliance with standards ISO 11922; DIN 8072/8074; UNE 53131. The threaded versions are manufactured in compliance with standard ISO 7; DIN 2999.

* What is HDPE Clamp Saddle?
A: Our PP clamp saddles are used to create quick single branch outlets with a nominal pressure of 16 bars; they are available from diameter 25 to 315mm with various female threaded outlets (from ½” to 6″).
Our HDPE clamp saddles are equipped with a NBR 70sh flat gasket that maximizes the diameter for a better containment of the pipe drilling area and have a flat extension to ensure sealing even under undesired overpressure. They also have the patented anti-rotation system: the innovative spiked insert keeps the clamp saddle blocked over time, preventing it from rotating and sliding, suitable for PE80 pipes & PE100 pipes.
* What is the installation procedure of PP clamp saddle?
A: HDPE clamp saddle are very easy to install, which involves the following steps:
• Define the position of the branch and clean the external surface of the pipe.
• Put the O-ring in the relevant seat and position the upper part of the saddle on the pipe.
• Couple the bottom part of the saddle with the upper one. Insert the bolts from the bottom, screw the nuts and tighten the bolts diagonally opposite each other.
• Drill a hole in the pipe taking care not to damage the reverse of the pipe or the gasket.

* HDPE electrofusion saddle & HDPE clamp saddle fittings, which one is better?
A: It is hard to say. HDPE clamp saddle fittings are easy installation, no welding, no special tools, it is specially useful in installations that may require occasional disassembly or partial removal for maintenance etc
HDPE electrofusion saddle needs welding machine to finish a electrofusion welding, it will be a bit complex in installation and higher installation costs, but the joints are much robuster.
