Generally speaking, China’s urban drainage projects are still dominated by cast iron pipes, cement pipes, and reinforced concrete pipes. Although the promotion and application of rigid PVC drainage pipes have made some achievements, they are still in the early stages of development. At this stage, there is still a big gap compared with advanced foreign countries. China's drainage pipeline service area is less than 70%, planned. To reach 80% by the beginning of the 21st century, this will require a large number of rigid PVC plastic drainage pipes. The broad market provides a better prospect for the development of plastic pipes.
